Ukraine Ministry
If you have ever felt a calling to reach out to the most underprivileged children of the former Soviet Union who have been abandoned by their parents, lost their homes or struggle with incurable disease like polio, this is the mission for YOU - Kharkov, Ukraine June 8-18, 2010.
In Kharkov will work with Family International, a ministry led by Oksana Uvaeva (Angel), a young Russian woman who was saved by missionaries in the early 90s. At one point Angel was WMA interpreter, when we shared the Gospel in Siberia. Later the Lord moved her to Ukraine and, like a true angel, she has devoted herself to the most deprived little ones and youth: the orphaned and sick children.
You will have an opportunity to go to orphanages and youth detention centers, as well as children's hospitals and present the hurting kids with the message of salvation and hope in Jesus. We will also partner with local churches in evangelistic services and Bible distribution.
Kharkov is the second largest city in Ukraine, but it is not very touristy. In the beautiful mild summer weather it's green streets, quite parks and beautiful historic squares will be a perfect location for the street Bible distribution and evangelism. Kharkov is also known as the "university city" which will allow you to reach young, well educated people who represent the future of Ukraine.
Ukraine is the largest nation after Russia in the former Soviet Union. It is an important player in the world events and currently we have great freedom there to spread the Gospel. I believe we should seize this opportunity!
Please consider this mission with much prayer and call us at 417-231-4131 for more information
