Prime Minister Tamrat Layne, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia. Growing up in a poor family in Ethiopia he became a member of the communist political party at age 19. During over 22 years of political activism, he spent 15 years in armed struggle as a freedom fighter in the mountaisn, 5 years as a Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Ethiopia. He was imprisoned for 12 years, and it was then that he received a Gospel tract from a prison nurse. His life was transformed by the Good News of Jesus Christ. After release from prison, Mr. Layne abandoned politics and has devoted his life to transforming nations for Christ.

After enlisting in the military, Jerrod was sent to Iraq, where he lost his leg in enemy ambush and heroically saved lives of his friends.
