Save the Orphaned Children in Northern Thailand
Their Next Meal Depends on Us
Right before Christmas we are headed back to the North of Thailand.
The children of the refugees from Laos and Myanmar, the orphans of drug addicts and the kids abandoned by the parents who could not feed them, live in the orphanages run by the local churches who try to give them shelter and teach them about the true Father.
Thailand is a country where Christians are just 1% of the population. This means that the churches, especially in the mountains, are small and very limited in their abilities.
When we visited the orphanages there before and provided funds for the purchase of groceries, one of the leaders shared with us that if it was not for us, he did not know what to feed the kids except the pineapples that grew in the garden.
These kids don’t even dream of Christmas gifts – a hot bowl of rice and meat is sometimes as far as they can dream.
