This April you are invited to join us on an incredible journey where we will travel to the oldest continually occupied city in the world – Faiyum, Egypt. It is mentioned in Exodus 1:11 as Pithom, one of the cities built by the slave labor of the Hebrews. Faiyum is a unique oasis in the desert. You have an extraordinary opportunity to take the Gospel to this ancient land – to the Egyptians, to the refugees from Sudan and other nations, to the needy, the sick, and the oppressed. Through evangelistic outreaches, medical clinic, Bible distribution and the ministry to refugees you can bring hope to Egypt and the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.
The medical clinic plays an important part in evangelism because it will bring into the church people who would not come otherwise. We will be reaching out to people in low-income and impoverished areas. We anticipate many of them coming to know the Lord through the clinic ministry.
We need medical professionals on this team in order to be able to have a medical clinic ministry in Egypt. If you are a doctor, nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant or other type of medical provider or you are an RN, LPN or other type of nurse and can help, we need you on this mission!
After ministry in Faiyum concludes, we’ll head to Cairo where you will get to visit the Pyramids of Giza and the new Great Egyptian Museum as well as other historical and inspiring sites.
We frequently experience miraculous signs and wonders during our Egypt mission. It is not surprising since one of the most visually significant miracles outside the Bible has taken place in Cairo, Egypt. On the outskirts of Cairo, in the middle of a “garbage city”, where Cairo dumps its trash and the garbage collectors live, there is Mount Mokkatam. This mountain was lifted from its foundation in the 900s A.D. through the prayers of local Christians when the Muslim Caliph ordered them to prove the legitimacy of their faith or die. There is a line at the base of the Mountain to support the account of the miracle, as it cannot be explained by any historic geological event.
This mission is truly a dream for everyone who loves missions and understands the transforming power of the Great Commission in these end times.
