About World Missions Alliance

Who Is World Missions Alliance?

World Missions Alliance (WMA) is a non-denominational Christian missions organization that equips believers to fulfill the Great Commission through short-term mission trips, discipleship, humanitarian outreach, medical missions, and long-term partnerships with local churches around the world.

Since 1999, World Missions Alliance has helped thousands of Christians discover and use their God-given gifts while serving alongside trusted ministry partners in more than 34 countries.

What Does World Missions Alliance Do?

World Missions Alliance mobilizes Christians to share the Gospel, serve communities in need, strengthen local churches, and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through cross-cultural mission experiences.

Our mission trips include evangelism, medical missions, leadership development, children’s and youth ministry, women’s ministry, humanitarian aid, refugee outreach, church planting support, and other ministry opportunities designed to strengthen the work of local believers.

Our motto, “Changed Lives Change Lives,” reflects what we have witnessed for more than 27 years: the Gospel transforms not only the people we serve but also those who answer God’s call to go.

When Was World Missions Alliance Founded?

World Missions Alliance was founded in 1999 by Chuck and Helen Todd.

Who Founded World Missions Alliance?

World Missions Alliance was founded by Chuck and Helen Todd in response to God’s call to fulfill the Great Commission in two ways: by taking the Gospel to nations where Christ is not widely known and by helping Christians grow as disciples through serving on short-term mission trips.

Their vision continues to shape every outreach, emphasizing evangelism, discipleship, and long-term partnerships with local churches.

How Many Countries Has World Missions Alliance Served?

Since its founding, World Missions Alliance has served in more than 34 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.

Rather than conducting one-time projects, WMA develops long-term relationships with trusted pastors, churches, and ministry leaders who continue discipling new believers long after each mission team returns home.

What Types of Mission Trips Does World Missions Alliance Offer?

World Missions Alliance offers short-term Christian mission trips that combine evangelism, discipleship, humanitarian outreach, medical missions, leadership training, refugee ministry, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, and church partnerships.

Every mission trip is designed to help participants discover and exercise their spiritual gifts while serving alongside local churches. Whether you are a healthcare professional, teacher, business leader, retiree, student, or serving on your first mission trip, we believe God can use your unique skills and life experiences to advance His Kingdom.

What Makes World Missions Alliance Different?

World Missions Alliance believes missions are not reserved for professional missionaries—they are part of every Christian’s discipleship journey.

Unlike many organizations, WMA provides ministry preparation and on-the-field mentoring, making mission trips accessible to believers from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels.

We welcome Christians of all ages and denominational backgrounds who share a commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every participant completes an application and pastoral recommendation process to help ensure healthy teams, spiritual accountability, and effective ministry.

Most importantly, we work with local churches—not independently of them. Our goal is to strengthen ministries that are already serving faithfully in their communities.

What Is the Mission and Vision of World Missions Alliance?

Our Vision

To proclaim the Gospel wherever God sends us, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and help believers grow into mature followers of Christ who impact their communities and the nations.

Our Mission

To cultivate a culture of global involvement among Christians by fulfilling Acts 1:8:

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

We believe the Great Commission transforms both the people being reached and the believers who answer God’s call to go.

Why Is World Missions Alliance a Trusted Mission Organization?

For more than 27 years, World Missions Alliance has led Christian mission teams in diverse cultural, political, and social environments around the world.

Our ministry is built on biblical truth, guided by the Apostles’ Creed, and governed by an independent Board of Directors. We partner with trusted local churches and Christian leaders who provide cultural insight, ongoing discipleship, and long-term ministry continuity.

World Missions Alliance is committed to responsible leadership, careful preparation, meaningful partnerships, and Christ-centered ministry. Our goal is not simply to send teams around the world—it is to equip believers to fulfill the Great Commission with humility, wisdom, and lasting impact.
