GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION
Hello, I am Helen Todd, the Vice President of World Missions Alliance. If you are reading this page, perhaps you are in pursuit of God or know someone who is. At 13 years old I lived in a Communist country where I was taught that God was a myth and religion was invented to entrap people. But in my heart, I believed that there is something or someone out there greater than us. A couple of missionaries smuggled Gospel tracts into my country (something like what you will read below). One of them found its way to me. When I read it, my heart skipped a beat. I felt like this was the confirmation I had been looking for. After reading the paper I thought to myself: I don’t know if this is true, but I want to try”. I prayed the prayer (much like the one below).
I want to testify to you – this was the most important and the best decision I have ever made in my life. Knowing God, experiencing His love, being led by Him and having assurance of my life after death made all the difference in the world. This is why Chuck and I started this ministry. This is why I am so passionate about what I do – I want you and every person that crosses my path to experience the same.
Read below and try it for yourself. What do you have to lose?
God’s Plan of Salvation: Understanding the Path to Eternal Life
Why do you need salvation?
It is impossible to find true love, peace, fulfillment, acceptance, your true identity, healthy relationships and other key elements of a fulfilled and happy life without having a proper relationship with God.
Sin separated people from God. To restore the relationship and save people from eternity in hell (the consequence of a sinful life), God sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity and make a path for you to enjoy personal relationship with God while on this earth and an eternity in Heaven with Him after death.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
How to receive salvation?
Good Works Cannot Save You – it is not possible for a human to live a completely sinless life. Because of this God gives us salvation as a gift of grace in response to our faith in Him and His Son.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
5 Steps to Salvation
Step 1: Admit you are a sinner
– for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23)
– Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned (Romans 5:12)
– If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:10)
Step 2: Be willing to turn from sin (repent)
– Jesus said: I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” (Luke 13:5)
– In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30)
Step 3: Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead
– “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
– But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
– If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Step 4: Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior
– For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:10)
– for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13)
Prayer of Salvation:
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.
– Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12)
– Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
