SUPPORT SHANNA CATES’ MISSION TRIP TO ETHIOPIA
GOAL: $3300
Hi friends! My name is Shanna and I have been invited to join World Missions Alliance on a very important mission trip to Ethiopia May 16-26, 2022. Our team will be working with local churches, orphanages, conduct prayer walks, one-on-one ministry and Bibles distribution. A special emphasis during this trip will be to reach out to the Ethiopian Jewish people who are the poorest, most deprived segment of society in Ethiopia. World Missions Alliance is partnering with the local messianic congregations and have had great success in introducing Jesus to the Ethiopian Jews.
I believe God has called me to join this trip and fulfill His commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15.
Ethiopia is considered one of the key nations on the African continent. According to the former Prime Minister Tamrat Layne radical Muslims are trying to overtake Ethiopia with Islam despite the Christian heritage of this nation. They are buying Bibles out of the bookstores to make the Word of God unavailable and pay poor farmers money to convert to Islam.
Our team, under the leadership of Chuck and Helen Todd of World Missions Alliance, will reach out to the highest and the lowest levels of society to plant the seeds of Truth and Love.
Will you consider with prayer sowing the seeds of the Gospel in the nation of Ethiopia as well as into the hearts of the Jewish people?
I would like to ask for your help in 2 areas. First and foremost, I ask you to pray for the success of this trip.
Next, I am asking for your financial support, if you can do it. I truly believe the Lord is directing this mission and your money will not be wasted. I will need $1800 for the expenses there (hotel, food, transportation, interpreters, etc…) and my travel costs are approximately $1500 (airfare).
Thank you for taking time to read this and thanks in advance for your support, whether in prayer, finances or both. When we return I will share with you how you and I together sowed the seeds of the Gospel in Ethiopia.
