FACTS

  • Mexico is a diverse and culturally rich country in North America with a long history of indigenous civilizations, Spanish colonization, and a vibrant contemporary culture.
  • Population: Approximately 129 million people as of 2025.
  • Official Language: Spanish; many communities also speak indigenous languages.
  • Capital: Mexico City, one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.
  • Mexico is a secular republic, and the state and churches are separate in law.
  • Religion: Christianity is the predominant religion. Approximately 95% of the population identify as Christian, with Roman Catholicism the largest affiliation and various Protestant, Evangelical, and other Christian groups present.
  • According to the 2020 Mexican census, around 78% are Catholic and about 11–11.2% are Protestant/Evangelical Christian; a growing number report no religion or non-affiliation.
  • Despite high self-identification with Christianity, regular church attendance is much lower, especially within nominal Catholicism, with many attending irregularly or culturally identifying with religious traditions.

WHY WE GO

Although most Mexicans identify as Christian, faith is often cultural rather than deeply lived. This creates a real opportunity for evangelism and discipleship that leads to restored lives.

Some indigenous and least-reached people groups still have limited access to the gospel in their own languages.

Mexico is facing deep social and economic challenges. Many are affected by poverty, especially in rural areas and underserved urban communities.

In many regions, violence and insecurity linked to organized crime continue to disrupt daily life, causing people to live in fear and hopelessness. There is a great need for prayer, healing, and hope.

Prayer is essential—for spiritual renewal, unity among believers, wisdom and courage for those serving, and open hearts across Mexico to encounter the life-changing hope of Christ.

On our next mission to Mexico July 13-20, 2026, we are introducing a new outreach: a seminar designed to equip individuals in Christ-centered parenting. This training will help parents and children connect, grow, and strengthen their families in the Lord.

Family—once deeply valued and foundational to Mexican culture—is deteriorating. Marriages don’t last. Single-parent households have become a norm, and children grow up not knowing what it’s like to have a father.
This is a tragedy that cannot be solved by economic policies or financial assistance.

Only Jesus can restore and rebuild one of Mexico’s most treasured cultural foundations—the family. We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate this ministry. All volunteers will receive training and curriculum to lead breakout sessions for the families.
If you have a heart for children and families, experience in teaching, youth or family ministry, counseling, or social work, this could be a meaningful opportunity to help families in Mexico discover God’s design for parenting. Even if you are a parent or grandparent with a passion for Christ-centered families—we need you.
Our mission will take place in the beautiful city of Pachuca, surrounded by the Sierra de Pachuca Mountains.
In addition to ministering to families, you will have opportunities to participate in:

  • Church planting
  • Outreach in impoverished and underserved communities
  • Medical missions
  • Ministry to the elderly and cancer patients

You will help host free medical clinics for those without access to care, share your testimony, distribute Bibles and Gospel tracts, and pray with and encourage those who are struggling and feel hopeless.
We are especially in need of medical professionals, intercessors, and those called to evangelism.
You will also have the opportunity to experience and appreciate the rich culture of Mexico. On a designated sightseeing day, you will explore some of the region’s most beautiful locations, including the Real del Monte silver mine and Zacatlán de las Manzanas, nestled in the Sierra Norte mountains of Puebla. This region is known for its apples, cider, silversmithing, and traditional arts and crafts.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…
